Online BWY Module: Chakras and the Human Energy System

A new online personal development module delivered by me, Lina Mookerjee, a highly experienced trainer and group facilitator. My framework is an integration of Ancient wisdom and contemporary life-knowledge informed by Tantra/Hatha yoga, energy/electrical principles, relational psychotherapy, neuroscience and Western psychology.y approach is based on grounded reality – debunking myths – providing a systematic, practical and magical approach.

A thorough and enriched learning opportunity that will take place within a safe, grounded, contained and nurturing e-learning environment that supports personal development and to making new connections.

  • 18 places available
  • 30 hours of contact teaching offered over a 6 month learning process: Sunday sessions from 22 March to 6 September 2026.
  • 15+ hours of self directed learning supplemented by Lina’s podcasts, prerecorded lectures, practices and guided reading.
  • Emphasis placed on learning, connecting, belonging through sharing, community.

The module intends to provide opportunities to educate, enrich and challenge assumptions to encourage openness, stimulate thinking and enable personal and spiritual growth to flourish, strengthen and stablise.

How the Training Works

AIM OF THIS MODULE.

To enable students to:

  1. experience increased confidence when talking about the Chakra system, knowing they have acquired a foundation of knowledge and experience
  2. name the nomenclature of the subtle energy body, the 7 Chakras and component parts
  3. describe the Praxis Chakra paradigm
  4. describe the key life lesson (7 in total) offered by each Chakra
  5. practise techniques to support self-care of the body,
  6. practise a thorough regime to prepare for energy work
  7. practise a dedicated vinyasa for each of the 7 Chakras – through asana, breath-work, sound and tonal work, and meditation
  8. readily access their Subtle Energy Body when practising Yoga either in class or as self-directed
  9. work with energy transformers safely, mindfully and with alertness, whilst feet firmly rooted to earth.

UNIT 3: THE CHAKRA SYSTEM

  • Understanding your system’s schematic wiring
  • Ability to know yourself: I/openness/think/feel/secure
  • First Chakra: Muladhara: Theory | Practice | Guide to safe practice (grounding/earthing)
  • Second Chakra: Svadisthana: Theory | Practice | Guide to safe practice (centring)
  • Third Chakra: Manipura: Theory | Practice

TEACHING METHODS

A wide variety will be employed, mostly interactive and/or experiential, including:

  • Theoretical inputs | discussions | physical practices | self-reflection and journal writing | meditations | visualisations and guided imagery | pairs and small group work.
  • Self-directed learning includes the provision of Lina’s podcasts, recorded lectures and guided reading.
